Alright, so here we go!!!
Day 4: Camps Bay
The morning of the fourth day, we decided that we wanted to do some hiking, big shock right? So we made our way to Camps Bay, about 10 minutes from the ship and set out to hike Lions Head (one of the ‘chairs’ beside Table Mountain).
Every two feet of this hike (sometimes climb) you wanted to take a picture
(I practically did), it was absolutely incredible!! On one side you had a glorious view of Table Mountain, one side you got the city, and the rest of it was a magnificent view of the ocean.
There were several parts of this hike that we were physical climbing, up ladders, up rock walls, and just navigating through basically the side of a mountain…
Eventually though, we made our way to the tippy top!!!
Post-hike we went for our traditional Mexican-in-every-port meal… Holy buckets, let’s just say after hiking a mountain, nothing satisfies like tacos do. Plus, look how cute this place is?!
Anywho, after that we went back to the airbnb and hung out before heading out for more food!
Day 5: Camps Bay
We started the morning by going to get some sandwiches before heading to the beach. But okay let me just tell you, these were some of the best deli sandwiches I’ve ever had. We went to this place called, Giovanni’s, it’s an incredible Italian deli.
You pick out your own bread and essentially create your sandwich right there and they put it all together for you… talk about fresh. Gosh, it was delicious.
THEN, we headed to the Camp’s Bay beach, where we hung out for most of the day. This beach guys, its got everything. We walked, we talked, we laughed, we ate, we played volleyball, we swam, we built sand chairs, and dug holes. Long story short, we did a lot.
We even had a personalized shopping session with our gal, Esther.
We may live on the water, but we don’t get to spend much time at the beach, so this was awesome.
And for the grande finale of our last night in South Africa, we made our way to Table Mountain for sunset. We were lame and didn’t climb it, we ran out of time, and hey we climbed Lion’s Head. So we took the cable car up for our second Natural Wonder of the World on this trip.
And let me tell you, this was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. Ever. And the most beautiful sunset I’ve ever seen. Ever.
You know what? I’ll just let the pictures speak for themselves.
Day 6: Camps Bay
Day six consisted of eating, shopping, and enjoying South Africa for a few more moments before we had to leave.
It was absolutely the saddest good-bye yet. Especially since when we returned to the ship, we took our ‘ship picture’ which meant, we were almost done with our incredible voyage. I’ll share that a little later, but until then, here’s what it looked like from our side.
